School Leavers

At present, we do not have collection points in any of the secondary schools in Dundee, but this does not mean that you cannot continue to save as you finish P7.

All our savers can either continue to save through another sibling currently in the primary school or deposit money by online transfer into the DCU Junior Savers account. All Save by the Bell members are Discovery Credit Union Junior Savers and therefore your account will be automatically transferred once the saver leaves primary school, and they can continue to save until the age of 16 years. We will notify all our P7 savers about the account transition process before they leave primary school.

After that, you get a choice to continue as a full member of DCU for an annual fee of £3.50 or withdraw your money and close the account. All savers will be informed of any changes to their accounts by post or by email.

Account Management

Important: All savings accounts with a zero balance will automatically be closed at the end of the academic year. Please advise us if you wish to keep the account open.

Withdrawals

If you wish to withdraw the savings, you should complete a withdrawal slip and take it to your next Save by the Bell school collection, email it to us or you can take it to Discovery Credit Union (DCU).
